Vintage Description
This is a late harvest Zinfandel. Sweet, but with a lot of vigor, strength and character. A delicious Port-style wine fermented and aged 18 months in French oak. The name Zinie comes from our famous dog loved by so many visitors. She was a beautiful, racy Briard. She was definitely part of the greeting committee and always found her way close to you. Zinie's name was short for Zinfandel de Potelle!, and she was killed in an accident in September of 1999. We were extremely sad and we miss her very much. It was the idea of a frequent visitor to Château Potelle who came up with the idea to name this wine after Zinie. This sweetness and vigor of this wine are so much like Zinie!
